CRICKET.
AIEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The Poverty Bay . Cricket Association met last evening-. Present: Messrs Harvey, Cahill, Harford, Southcombe, Cranney, Wliiteley, Guthrie and McLisky (lion, sec.) Correspondence was received from the Hawke’s Bay Cricket Association intimating that the dates as suggested by the Poverty Bay Cricket Association. Christmas or New 'Tear, are not suitable, as the dates are booked, it was decided to hold over the letter until further arrangements could be made.
In connection with the annual representative match with Hawke’s Bay, Mr C. Harford was appointed to make the necessary arrangements to ensure a team getting away at Christmas or New Year. Any player desirous of making the trip is requested to communicate with the selector. Messrs Harvey and Maude were appointed a committee to represent the Association at the meeting of the Reserve Committee on Wednesday night. Two delegates forfeited their seats on the Management Committee. In order to bring the two competitions on a level it was decided to limit the junior match next Saturday to a one-day match.
