HOWITZERS FAVORED

[INDEPENDENT PRESS GABLE]

LONDON, Nov. 23

In the German Field Artillery regulations it is announced that the light field howitzer is twice as effective as a field gun against hostile artillery, and exhibits equal capacity against objects in motion. Howitzers are capable of silencing field artillery, both in the open and concealed positions. It is proposed, to increase largely the number of howitzers in the German army.
