FEVER EPIDEMIC IN INDIA

Fever is raging on the Burmese frontier. Captain Pikehall and three Bralimins are dead. Thirty-eight Seapoys have been stricken down.
SYDNEY ALDERMANIC ELECTIONS.
(Received Dec. 6, 10 pan.) SYDNEY, Dec. 6. Several aldermen have offered to send in their resignations in order to alow Sir Allan Taylor to retain his seat in the Council. Mr Richards has received a number of New Zealand congratulations cn his election to aldermanic honors.
