Mr Asquith (Premier) replying to a deputation from the United Kingdom "Alliance stated that it '"'as dishonest if it had been said that there was a reasonable'prospect of a large temperance measure being put through in the 1913 session. The session must be short, otherwise the Parliamentary machinery would break down. Progress must be made within the limits of human endurance.
