COSTUME FOR THUS SPORTS GIRL The question of dress is a.very important one, both for the good of the game-and the good of the girls when playing. All schools that take sport seriously have a special costume designed on the lines of the gymnastic

dress. One of the most artistic sports costurpe is worn by the girls and mistresses at Fraulem Wilke’s Training College. It was designed by Fr.auI lein Wilke herself, and combines the 1 practical and beautiful in quite an unusual way. It is of the pinafore description, cut all in ono, and fastening on the shoulder. But, instead of the ordinary, rather sack-like*' garment, this , dress, though quite loose, ! is cut so that it defines tlio graceful j lines of the figure. A soft white 'shirt, with long, loose sleeves, is worn underneath. The dress allows of ab- ; solute freedom of movement for the entire body, and as there is nothing to disarrange, a girl looks as neat at the end of a strenuous game of hockey as she did at the beginning. F6l' gymnastic work and some of the games the skirt is knee length, but for ordinary use it is ten inches from tho ground. For winter wear every girl should see that she possesses a knitted coat to slip on during intervals of the game, or when walking to or from the grounds. Nothing'to equal these coats has ever been invented. They are delightfully warm and light, and do not hamper the movements in any way; and most girls will think this equally important—they are most becoming! to pretty, slender figures. Caps to match are now usually to be bought with the coat. —“London Daily News.”
