BOWLING.

GISBORNE CLUB. The fine weather attracted a large attendance of bowlers to the above club's green on Saturday. Two gamos were played in the Saturday Fours Competition. Craig’s and McMillan’s teams having tied in the “A" section, they played off, and McMillan won the game and the section. In the ”B” Section Ambrose lost to Greig, this being his first defeat and Greig’s first win. The scores are as follow: — “A” Section.—C. C. Miller (sub), Humphries, Brown and McMillan (skip), beat Rev. Hamilton, George, Wm. Pettie, Craig, (skip) by 22 to 18. McMillan led all ths way, Grieg coming strong at the finish. “B”‘ Section.—G. Crawford, Witty, Corson, Greig (skip) beat Horne, Ashton, Hookey, Ambridge (skip) by 21 to 15. This was a good game to the 16th head, when the soores were 14 all. Greig scored on all remaining heads and won by 6. Junior Singles.—G. Crawford lOpts beat Gatland by 29 to 22. Chrisp 6pts beat Etherington 4pts by 28 to 16. Handicap Pairs.—Hamilton and Bullock (skip, sub,) 6pts beat Horne and Corson 3pts by 33 to 28. On the 11th head the scores read 17 to 7 in Bullock’s favor, but on the 20th head it w'as 25 to 24 in Corson’s favor. Bullock got three on the last head, and with the addition of his handicap (6pts), this made him a winner a winner by 5 pts.
