It is understood that the Budget proposals will provide for an expenditure of £25,959,400 on the navy, £19.252,000 on elie army, and of £6.034,SOO for the completion of the Panama Canal.

The Navy Department has asked for three new battleships of the superDreadnought type, each of which will cost aboutT £3,000,000. Other votes provided for are those of £20,000 for nn army aviation coips, £40,000 for the suppression cc the white slave traffic, and £60,000 for enforcing the anti-trust laws.
