ROWING.

GISBORNE CLUB. The races for the Cox Cup were continued last evening, when Moore and Sweet beat Hamilton and Quigley by a length, and Gerrard and Eraser' beat Winter and Gardiner by three quarters of a length; and Hansen and Wyllie beat McLean and Hudson by a length. In the B grade fours for B. S. Cox’s photos, Port (str), Sprague (3), Coates (2) and Milne (bow) beat Jeffreys (str), Peacocke (3), Gumming (2), aad McLauchlan (bow) by a length and a half; and Pyeroft (str), Porter (3), Davis (2) and Church (bow) beat Putiett (str), Dcvery (3), Mackay (2) and Gallon (bow) by a length. The semi-final of the double-scull races will be rowed to-night, when Gully meets Hausen and Gerrard rows Moore. The final of the B grade fours will also be rowed, when Pyeroft will row Port. The races promises of an unusually interesting order.

The following events have been rowed off Mr E. P. Joyce’s medals.—Tuesday: W. Griffin beat L. Ensor, W. Reddell'beal C. Hall, E. Corbett won by default. Wed-nesday-A. Gardner and W. Clark beat O. Hansen and Clark by two lengths; J. Corbett and E. Borhant beat McGuffie and Callow by a length, after a very good race and. R. Patty and E. Hansen beat V. Somerville and R. AVright fairly ilyMr W. Eraser’s medals, single sculls.— Tuesday: J. Lloyd beat J. Stuart and H. Holschier beat C. Paul, both being good races. Wednesday: J. W. Nicolas beat J. Prickett by half a length, and N. Moor beat R. Douglas by a length. This evening Kellett meets Holschier and N. Moore meets J. W. Nicolas. In the double sculls for Mr E. P. Joyce’s trophies Winter and Seymour meet Griffin and Caulton, A. Gardner and W. Clark meet W. Riddell and C. Wheeler and R. Patty and E. Hansen meet E. Corbett and L. Stitchbury.
