The young; man David Dufaur. whose disappearance from Palii after the fatal accident, which betel his companion, Samuel Henry iSayers, is still at Matakohe confined to his l>ed. He is making excellent recovery after his hardships in the hush and it is expected that he will he well enough to attend the adjourned inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Saver's death on Monday. From letters found among the effects of the victim of the accident it appears'probable that Mrs Sayers and her children have not yet left the Old Country. The settlers of Pahi who endeavored to communicate with Mrs Sayers have not so far received a reply to their cable conveying to her the news) of her husband's death.
