DETERMINED ATTEMPT AT SUICIDE. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] CHRISTCHURCH, Doc. 25. A man named TV. G. Hay, 37 years of age, residing at Sydenham, Christchurch, was admitted to the hospital at midnight on Tuesday suffering from a wound on his throat, which he inflicted on himself with a razor. Whilst assistance was being got for him Hay attempted to drown himself in a bath. His condition is not considered serious. Hay is unmarried and love troubles are said to have been his reason for attempting to take his own life.

A SAD CASE. AUCKLAND, Dec. 26. William Montcrieff, amid died in the hospital from hemorrhage of the brain this morning. He was arrested in the street on Monday in a state of helpless intoxication.
