WOULD-BE NEW ZEALANDERS STRANDED.
SIX FAMILIES “ON THE ROCKS” IN SYDNEY. fTJNITF.D PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT] (Received Dec,. 25, 9.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 25. The newspaper “Sun” states that six families, mostly those of agriculturalists, who recently arrived from England en route to New Zealand, arc stranded in Sydney. It is asserted that they paid for third-class passages on the understanding that the price included the cost of transhipment from Sydney to New Zealand, hut on landing they found no satisfactory arrangements were made for completing the journey. They are practically without funds, and various missions are looking after them.
