YESTERDAY’S CHURCH SERVICES
PRESBYTERI-iX “RALLY.” The annual .“rally” of the Presbyterians of Gisborne was held yesterday, the services being very largely attended. In tl;p> morning Rev. A. H. Wallace, of Melbourne, took the service, his theme being “A Ministry that Failed,” and in the evening Rev. W. Grant preached a sermon entitled “On the Way.” By request some of the Christmas music was repeated, and Mr Geo. Meikle, of Auckland, sang “Remember now thy Creator.” At the Methodist Church yesterday Old Year services were conducted. Rev. J. A. Lochore, in the evening, delivered an address on “The Goodwill of a lifetime.” Mr A. Gibson was soloist, the morning Missioner J. A. Jones conducted the service.
