In the same school a’boy in Standard VI. attended school with a broken arm, obtained a first-class attendance, certificate, and passed his proficiency examination. “Isn’t your son rather young to join the Army ?” said a recruiting sergeant to an old lady, who brought o boy of fourteen to him. to enlist. “Why, no,” she replied. “You see, I want him to join ihe infantry.”
