TURANGANUI CLUB. ELECTRIC LIGHT TOURNAMENT. The Turanganui Club, contained a large and brilliant gathering last evening, when the electric light tournament was opened. Conditions were ideal for such a tournament, while the spectators present expressed their sense of enjoyment of the evening's outing. Refreshments on a lavish scale were provided. Following were the scores:—
Glendining:. Skillen. I!ay and Colley (s) 3pts 23 beat Robertson, Sommerville, Bruce and Ratcliffc (s) 3pts 20. Mahoney, Leydon, Taylor and Spiers is) lpt 24 beat Haisman, McSkimming, Humphries and Simson Cs) scr 18. Dudfield, Eaton, Arnold and Neil (s'! 2pts 21 beat Law, W. Howard, Barry and Jeune (sJ 2pts 2’_>.
Jennings. Dooley, P. Howard and Gray (.$) scr. a bye.
Following is the draw for Wednesday night’s play in the second round: Gray meets Neil. Spiers meets Colley. The final will be got off on Friday.
