METAL SOURCES OF POVERTY BAY
THOROUGH INVESTIGATION DESIRED.
THE COOK COUNTY SUGGESTION
To last night’s meeting of the Borough Council the Cook County Council wrote stating that it was desirous of securing a better metal supply than that at present at the disposal of the Council, and with a view of testing the sources of supply that bad been reported as existing n the Matawai and Rakauroa districts, bad deckled to ask the Council, and also that of Waikohu County, to join in making a thorough test of these •sources of supply, and in order that there should be no conflict of opinion in the methods to be adopted in making the tests, the Cook Council suggested that the three Engineers should meet together and decide upon a system 'commensurate with the amount ( placed at their disposal for the purpose.
It- was decided that the Engineer should meet the other Engineers and report to the Council.
