Tlie Takapuna arrives this morning and leaves to-night on the return trip. The Union S. S. Co's Monowai and the Huddart Parker Go's Victoria arrive from South and North respectively to-day.

The Star of India is expected to complete loading to-night. The/ Kumara arrives to-morrow for Home loading. The Rosamond left Auckland yesterday for Gisborne via Tologa. Messrs Richardson and Co’s Squall left Auckland yesterday for Gisborne. R.M.S. Ruahine left Plymouth on Sunday for Wellington with a full passenger list.

The Tyser liner Whakarua is scheduled to leave London on the 28th January for Australian and New Zealand ports. The Wanaka, which was recommissioned at Port Chalmers on Friday, and is expected at Gisborne on February 4. has the following officers: Captain J. Flynn, in command; chief, Mr Peterson; second, Mr R. Clark; third. Mr A. F. Inman. The American and Australian Line have fixed the steamer Clenentine to load at New York for Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand ports. The vessel, which was to have left last week, should arrive about the first week in May. ' COMING WITH OIL.

At the end of this mouth the steamer Cape Finistere, running under charter to the Vacuum Oil Company, should arrive at Auckland from New York with a full cargo of case oil. The oil is consigned to the four main ports, and the vessel should reach Wellington about the 14th February.
