The “Neuo Frie Presse” had an interview with. Shevket Pasha, who stated that at Adrianople Turkey wished to keep nothing except the unconquerod fortress with its sacred places. Turkey had met the desire of the Powers for peace to the extent of 75 per cent., and had kept only 25 per cent, for herself. He adder!: “Ought our enemies do nothing to meet us? If Europe permits a breach of the peace she must bear tho consequences.”
A FRESH CAMPAIGN. NOT WORTH WHILE. (Received Feb. 2, 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, Feb. 2. The “Lokal Anziegor” says the Powers are seeking to influence the Allies, and particularly Bulgaria, in the direction of further negotiations on the ground that the differences between the Allies’ demands and Turkey’s latest offer make a fresh campaign not worth while. FEVER AMONG TURKISH PRISONERS. (Received Feb. 2, 5.5 p.m.) BELGRADE, Feb. 1. There is an outbreak of typhus among the Turkish prisoners at Negotin.
There have been 340 cases and 140 deaths, in a few days. A doctor and eight nurses are among the infected. Twelve French quickfirers and 1400 tons of war material have been landed at Salonika for Sorvia.
Tho Balkan delegates are on their way homewards.
One representative of each delegation remains in London.
