A NEW ZEALANDER’S DEATH. (Received Feb. 10, 9.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 10. John Rankin, employed on the North Shore railway, was struck by an engine and succumbed. The police report that his parents reside in New Zealand.
CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY. (Received Feb. 10, 10.45 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10. A memorial is being prepared urging the Senate of Cambridge University to abolish compulsory Greek and revise and simplify the entrance examination.
SPANISH PRISONER SWINDLE. (Received Feb 10, 12.-5 a.m.) '• - MADRID, Feb. 10. Fifteen members of the gang working the “Spanish prisoner” swindle have been arrested.
