A SAD FATALITY

THAMES, Feb. 10. v A sad fatality occurred at Parawai, near Thames, last night, by which Alexander Dunlop, a son of a wellknown resident, received wounds from accidental shooting, which resulted in his death soon after. Dunlop, who was aged 24, was in a bedroom cleaning a gun, and it is presumed that after cleaning the weapon he loaded it, and was in the act of putting it away when the trigger caught on a. box.' Dunlop received a fearful wound in the abdomen. Medical assistance was called, but- the man was dead before the doctor arrived. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned.
