'Rev. Mr Carruthers has been elected president of the Methodist Conference.

Rev. Mr Youngman, speaking of his recent visit to New Zealand in connection with the inauguration of the independent Conference and the consummation of the Methodist Union, said no one realised the importance of the step taken, but he was perfectly confident that the Union would, mean a great advancement in Methodism -in the Dominion.
