Dr. Sun Yat has completed his mission of thanking Japan for her help during the revolution, and it is believed that he has initiated a commercial entente which may bo developed into a political entente. He conferred with bankers and manufacturers and offered them important concessions with the result that the Chino-Japanese Commercial Trust Company, with a capital of a million sterling, has been formed to develop railway construction.
