A MORE HOPEFUL REPORT. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM} CHRISTCHURCH, March 19. The - New Zealand Shipping Company, Ltd., to-day received cabled advice from Rio de Janeiro to the effect that the discharge of frozen meat from the steamer Turakina was proceeding satisfactorily. It has not yet been possible to ascertain, the extent of the damage caused by the fire on the steamer and consequently the Company has no information as to the length of time the Turakina will be delayed at Rio.
