NOTES. The ferry steamer had a full complement of passengers when she sailed last evening. She returns to-morrow morning. The scow Alert arrived in the bay late yesterday afternoon and was towed to the wharf by the trawler Gosford. She has 76,000 feet of sawn timber from Ngunguru. Captain ltae reports fair weather on the trip. The vessel left Ngunguru on Friday and had a very smart passage down the coast. Tho Canterbury Shipping Co.’s Petone loads sheep on completion of her discharge to-day and will sail for Lyttelton. The steamer's cargo ’for Gisborne is of a general nature. The Coronation is loading orogon pine ex the American four-masted schooner Kona at Auokland. She will also load a quantity of Kauri. The Squall, which put in an appearance shortly after midnight on Sunday, is to sail this evening for Auckland. Cargo 4 p.m.
