AN INTERESTING CASE. rOKITHD PHEBB ASSOCIATION—-COPYRIGHT! LONDON, April 1. Hans Porter, an American tailor, and Ferdinand. Steiner, a jeweller, were arrested in a restaurant in Oxford Street, and ha'/e been remanded on a charge of stealing £50,000 worth of jewellery belonging to Dernier, exMexican Minister to France, at Neuilly, in April, 1912. A detective alleged that Porter stole the jewellery from the original thieves. A large quantity of jewellery was found at IPorter’s house.
