A gold bangle has been presented by Messrs Nasmith and Son for the Cook County Women’s Guild social to be held on April 11, and it is at present on view in the firm's window.
The anniversary and harvest thanksgiving services will bo celebrated in the Baptist Tabernacle to-morrow 'morning aiid evening. Rev. T. Keith Ewen will occupy the pulpit. The .subjects will be: Morning, 11 a.m., “The Fruit of the Spirit”; evening, 7-p.m.. “The Prophet’s Lament.” The Church is Leing specially decorated with fruits, and flowers for the occasion, and special music will bo rendered. Special thanksgiving offerings are to bo taken at each service. On Wednesday evening the social entertainment in connection with the anniversary is to be Held. All''a re invited to these services.
