The Government intend to punish the officials for not protecting the Germans. They are also prohibiting offensive p’ays in frontier towns. BERLIN, April 18. The Germans deny that they provoked the Nancy incident. The crowd hustled them into the train and kicked and spat- upon them. Nobody interfered until the stationmaster cleared the carriage, remarking, “Now you’ve had enough fun. ’ (Received April 20, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, April 19.
The Government dismissed two policemen at Nancy station and is reorganising the Nancy police. A prefect was transferred to another department for neglect to report the incident. Tho German Ambassador lias been notified of the dismissals.
