Mr. George E. Darton, Borough Overseer, was taken to a private hospital yesterday, seriously ill. Corporal Norman Ingram, who ’had his hand injured by a rifle-shot at Oringi camp, is making fair progress towards recovery, but it is possible he will sustain a permanent disablement. Mr. Holdswfrths, chief postmaster at Auckland, was married on Wec.nesdav to Miss R. Beehan, a daughter of Hon. W. Beehan (says a P.A. wire).
