MR. KIRK AND THE CADETS.
(To the Editor.) Sir The generous action of tho cadet corps in granting honorary Captain Kii J k twelve months’ leave of absence from his arduous military duties has been much commented on. The self-sacrificing spirit of the corps is apparent to any student of military training. Now, Sir, I would suggest that the Borough Council should not be outdone by the cadets. Surely the Councillors might rise to the occasion and grant Mr. Kirk twelve months’ leave of absence from his “Chief Magistracy.” “JEALOUS.”
