The report of the committee of the Presbyterian Assembly protests against tho proposed endeavor of military officers to have camp canteens restored, allegedly because the recent “dry” camps have been marked by misconduct such as disgraced no previous military operations. Tho report asks the Defence. Department to thoroughly inquire before moving in the matter. A statement is made that some of the most responsible officers declared that the camps under the “dry” regime were never more orderly or better-conducted.
