The Mokoia arrived from southern po'rts yesterday and left later in continuation of her voyage North. The Union Co.’s Maitai left Auckland at 6 o’clock on Tuesday night and arrived in the bay at 3 o’clock, after a smart passage of 21 hours from the northern port. The steamer left for the South in the evening.
The scow Bravo was towed into the offing at 3 o’clock Yesterday afternoon, and when seen later had all sail set and was standing well out into the bay, bound for Auckland. By yesterday morning’s steamer there arrived in Gisborne several passengers ex the Paparoa. They were: Misses L. Smith, Balchin, Lane (2), and Rochefort; Mesdames Musker and Whatton; Messrs Whatton, vane, and Mulville.
The three masted mow Korora is expected to sail to-day for Auckland. 'the Rurur sailed yesterday for Tokomaru to lighter coal from the Union Co.’s collier lvurow.
The produce steamer Petone is due from South on Saturday.
The .Kaco is at* present on her way to Gisborne, having left Auckland on Tuesday. The schooner will work the coast bays.
The aux. schooner Oretc is at present loading for Gisborne and coast at Auckland.
Messrs Richardson and Co. have purchased the fleet of the W'airoa and Mohaka Steamship Company. The additions to the Richardson fleet will lie as follow: Tangaroa, s.s.. 190 tons; and the auxiliary schooners Te Arolia, Te Atu and Tuliara.
