ATTEMPTS TO CORRUPT SENATE

[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT.] (Received June 6, 11.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 6. The Senate Investigating Committee has been informed of persistent lobbying against the wool and sugar bills. Senators specified instances where improper pressure was brought to bear to prevent them from voting with the Democrats in favor of free wool. It is stated.that detectives frequently shadowed Senators, with a view to discovering anything useable against them.
