DEATH OF MISS RENNODENI
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.I CHRISTCHURCH. June 11. An inquest was held before Mr. H. W. Bishop touching the death of Edith Eme.lia Ronnodene. The coroner returned a verdict of accidentally killed by falling from a train.
RAILWAY FATALITY AT WOOD-
VILLE.
WQODVILLE, June 11. An elderly man named Alf Symonds was run into by the 7 o’clock train to Palmerston to-night and killed outright. He had been working all day shifting coal at the gas works and was .going home along the railway line. The accident happened just outside "VVoodville. Deceased, who was aged about 65 years, leaves a widow and two daughters, both of whom .are married . DIED IN A DITCH. PALMERSTON N., June 11. The body of a man named Thomas Pickard, aged 75 years, was found in a drain at Kairangi, distant seven miles from town, to-day*. Deceased left his home in Palmerston last evening to go to the pictures, but seems to"'have wandered away to the place where the body was found. CAUGHT IN THE POINTS. DUNEDIN, June 11. George Neal, a married man living in Mcßride Street, South Dunedin, and bi shunter,by occupation, mas shunting in the yard when his foot it is thought, got caugut m the points. He was caught by the train and dragged some distance, being practically killed outright.
