PUKEKOHE RESIDENTS END

AUCKLAND, June 16
Yesterday morning the both' of an old resident of Pukekohe, Robert Latimer, was discovered at his home on Pukekohe Hill by some visitors to the house. Air Latimer was a bach-dor and lived by himself. He was h-st seen in Pukekohe'early in the week, and when the body was’discovered yesterday it was evident that death had taken place a day or two previously. Deceased was found in his nightclothes lying on the floor alongside his bed.
As deceased had been undergoing medical treatment, an inquest was not considered necessary. The late Mrs Latimer was a man of means, and had lived in the district for -about 40 years.
BURNED TO DEATH. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] DUNEDIN, June 16. John Gallagher. 72 years of age, was burnt to death in his hut at St. Bathans at 11 p.m. on Saturday. It is believed that the accident occurred through a lighted candle upsetting while deceased was reading. ...
DISTRESSING ACCIDENT AT
WANGANUI. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] WANGANUI, June 16. A distressing accident took place at Gonville this afternoon. A man named Reginald Connon was found unconscious on the road with a broken bicycle. beside him. He had evidently, been knocked down by a passing vehicle. At the hospital he was found to have sustained a large scalp wound, _ a broken jaw-bone and a broken bone in shoulder. He has not yet_ recovered consciousness, and so has given no account of how the accident occurred. He is the sole support of a widowed mother.
