RAINS IN INDIA
DELHI, June 22
The monsoon season has arrived earlier than usual in northern India. Good rains have fallen in Burma and north-eastern India, and fair rains in the west coast, and central provinces.
BIG EIRE 'AT MONTREAL
(Received June 23, 11.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, June 23. A fire at Montreal destroyed a block, including tlie Sass Blind Faetorv. Four firemen were killed and three were injured.
SURVEY BOAT CAPSIZES
(Received June 23, 11.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 23.. The survey boat Beaver capsized in a storm and nine engineers were drowned.
