LICE-INFECTED SHEEP.

THREE PROSECUTIONS. The representatives of three local firms were prosecuted before Mr.' W . A. Barton, S.M., yesterday, for having allowed lice-infected sheep to be yarded in the Matawai saleyards. The informant was Stock Inspector W. B. Hingston. W. B. Bremner (Common, Shelton and Co.) pleaded guilty, and was fined £ 3 and cost s. (7s). R. V. Gully (Loan and Mercantile Co.) put in a plea of guilty, and added that there was only one sheep infected. cut of 38 yarded. The Inspector said this was so, and •a fine cf £1 and costs (7s) was imposed. W. Reddell (Dalgety and Co.) pleaded guilty, and a fine of £3 and costs (7s) was inflicted.
