Some little excitement was caused at the Palmerston railway goods shed when one of the clerks noticed a giant centipede emerging from a case of bananas. The irTscet was about six or seven inches long, and was of red color. It was secured, and is to be forwarded 'by the Department of Agriculture to Wellington to be identified and classified.
