GORDON BENNETT ELIMINATION TEST. [UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPS EIGHT.] NEW YORK, July 6. The Goodyear balloon won the elimination test in the Gordon Bennett international competition. It landed at Michigan, 652 miles distant from the starting place at Kansas. The balloon City 11., when crossing Lake Michigan, ivas partly ripped, and narrowly escaped from descending to the water. Finallv it landed in Canada, a distance of *630 miles, winning second place.
