STRIKE RIOTS IN MILAN.
TROOPS USE THEIR SWORDS. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] [SYDNEY SUN SPECIAL CABLE.] (Received Aug. 8, 6.55 p.m.) ROME, Aug. 8. A strike organised by syndicalists is in progress at Milan, and there is serious rioting. Troops were called out, and were stoned by the strikers, who retaliated with their swords, 50 strikers being badly wounded, while 100 were arrested. The electricity for the trams has been cut off for three days. The Duke D’Abruzzi was stoned while crossing the Square.
