PLUNKET NURSE FOR GISBORNE.
WILL ARRIVE HERE NEXT WEEK. SERVICES FREE TO CLASSES IN THE COMMUNITY. Plunket Nurse Craig, who is expected to arirvo in Gisborne on August 16th. is a certificated nurse and has resigned her position at Masterton Public Hospital in order to take up her work here. She completed her training at the Karitane-Harris Hos- , pital in Dunedin and has had practi- f cal experience in District Plunket work there. The Socictv hopes that the services of the Plunket Nurse will be freely used in the spirit in which they are tendered. No fees will be allowed because th'e work is done in the interest of the whoie community—not merely to help the individual mother. The Nurse’s services can be taken advantage of by any mother —be her J income large or small. As the valuo#'*y of the work becomes more generally appreciated the committee feels confident that the public will give them generous support and so enable them to demonstrate the value of the work. Membership may he obtained through the honorary secretaries Mrs W, F. Anderson and Mrs. Reeve, for a subscription of five shillings per annum.
