A return was submitted to the House of Representatives Ho-day which showed that since 1902 there have been held in the Dominion no than 76 commissions, at a total cost to the country of £62,445 10s 3d. A great number of the Commissions were small in both extent and cost, and some, dealing with borough matters, involved the country in no charge at all.
