A quantity of dynamite was found in Mayor Gaynor’s office, sufficient to wreck the City Hail Mr. Gaynor remained calmly at Ins desk while the police drew a cordon around the building. Faulty arrangements to the fuse alone prevented a terrible disaster. The police believe that there is a plot against Mr. Gaynor, but another theory is that careless workmen engaged in some adjacent- excavations !eft the dynamite around.
