Fraser) stated that he was appointing inspecting engineers for tile North Island and South Island respectively'. .Their duty would be to go round the country and inspect the expenditure of Government grants. There had been a good many complaints in regard to the expenditure of Government money and the inspectors would report to him and he would then be in a much better position to ascertain whether the money was being properly, expended.
