GODDESSES FROM TIBET

Giits sent by the Dalai Lama to Sir Edward Grey and Lord Crewe were presented at the Foreign Office and India Office respectively on 9th July by the party of young Tibetan gentlemen, sons of officials of high rank in Tibet, who lately arrived in England to he educated. The gifts included Eastern goddesses in metal work, beaten copper coffee and tea pots, skins, and woollen goods. The Tibetans ivere accompanied by Mr. B. J.
