Mr. Glennie (secretary and manager for the Rere visitors) proposed “The Success of the Patutahi Club,” which was responded to by Mr. Jordan (secretary of the Patutahi Club). Tho health of the donor of the shield was proposed by Mr. E. Monckton. A toast- was drunk to Mr. C. Matthews, who is in the unique position of being president of the Rere Club and a vice-president of the Patutahi Club. Messrs. Glennie and Jordan spoke of the great enthusiasm which Mr. Matthews always displayed in the interests of shooting. The health of the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Uridgo, was honored, on the proposition of Mr. Jordan. “The Ladies” and “The Chairman” were the remaining toasts, and the gathering dispersed after the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
