CRICKET.

NEW CLUB FORMED. A meeting was held at Mr Bert Lucas’ shop last evening for the purpose, of forming a new cricket club, Mr F. Walker being in tho chair. It was decided to form the Club and to name it 'the Gisborne Cricket Club. The team will enter for the Thursday senior competition. Mr B. Lucas was elected secretary and. Mr A. Oassin treasurer.. The club colors were agreed on as red and black. • . Mr George York was elected president, and Messrs T. R. Gordon, C. Ferguson, Frank Harris, G. B. Oman and J. Rossbotham vice-presidents. Messrs York, Cassin and Walker were elected delegates to the Association. The subscription was fixed at 10s.
