GISBORNE HARBOR BILL.
CLAUSE NOT YET CUT OUT. WILL BE DELETED BEFORE BILL IS FINALLY PASSED. TELEGRAPH— SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. Mr W. D. Lysnar, who has been in Wellington during the week-end,- has been making inquiries concerning the Gisborne Harbor Bill, especially in respect of the provision in it to which exception is being taken by the advocates of the outer harbor scheme. Mr Lvsnar informed your representative tliat he had been disappointed to find that the Bill had been allowed to pass the Local Bills Committee without the objectionable clause havinw been excised, in spite ol the fact that the Chairman of the Harbor Board- had given a promise that it would be deleted. He had, however, been informed by Mr W. D. 8. MacDonald . the member in charge of the Bill, that they , had not had time to have the clause cut out before the Committee, but that he would have it I done in the House as in the Legislai tive Council before the Bill was finally passed. •
