The demand was slack for all olasses of sheep and cattle, due no doubt to

the long spell of dry weather. Several first-class lines of hoggets were offered, but- most of them were passed in. We yarded 5071 and sold 2087. at the following prices:Fat Sheep.—Light weight ewes 15s 6d to 17s 6d, better finished 18s 6d. Some good wethers were offered and passed m at 21s. Store Sheep.—Empty ewes (low condition) 13s; ewes with lambs at foot (aged), 14s 6d to 15s; soundmouthed ewes with good lambs, 22s 6d to 24s 6d. Wethers well grown and in good condition, 20s 2d. Hoggets (woolly) mixed sexes medium sorts, 16s 4(1 to 16s 7d. Shorn hoggets, mixed good sorts, 16s (kl; do, medium 12s 6d to 13s 6d; shorn wether hoggets well grown, 15s 10d; cull hoggets, 9s to 10s. Cattle.—We yarded 289 and sold 76. Nearly all the lines were passed, cattle not appearing to be wanted" at all.
