The morning was very wet, steady rain falling till 10.30. Then it eased off, though the sky remained heavily clouded till about 4 o’clock, when a thick drizzling and mist commenced. There was little wind, however, and except for the drawback of getting wet and the fact that the greens were heavy, it was not a had "olfing day. The cards handed in were for the most part disappointing. However, the first two rounds of the Open Championship were played, but the professionals had it pretty well their own. wav.
