GISBORNE FIRE BRIGADE RECEIVES A HANDSOAIE DONATION THE FIRE .AT COAIAION SHELTON’S.
Air J. Thomson, Superintendent of the Gisborne Fire Brigade, has received the following letter from Air J. B. Kells, manager for Alessrs Common, Shelton and Co.. Ltd.:—“We desire to tender to you our heartiest thanks for the prompt manner in which your Brigade turned out on Thursday, and for the splendid work they did. This is the first time since our business was established 3-5 years ago that we have had occasion to call on you forassistanee, and it is most gratifying to know that we had such a smart and well-equipped body of men ready at an instant’s notice to answer the call. Please accept the enclosed cheque for £2O as a small contribution to your Brigade fund.” Air Thomson desires, on behalf of. the Brigade, to thank the firm for their very liberal donation, which will make a weleomA addition to the benevolent fund. “
