LONDON WOOL SALES. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPTBJOHT.I (Received Dec, 7, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 7. Good merinos were we'l maintained, but heart nnd shabby were slow and irregular. Crossbreds were very weak, many being withdrawn. Following were the prices realised for the fleece portions of the clip named :—• Top. Average. d. d. ~ Papa rote 10 9-J Alessrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received from their head office the following cablegram: The wool sales will close December 9, merino wools good quality and condition are selling freely; wools of doubtful yield 5 per cent, lower; burry wools ajso 5 per cent, lower. HORSE SALE. About 50 hacks and harness horses were yarded at Messrs. Williams and Kettle’s horse bazaar on realised from £1 lOs to £lO 10s. LOCAL PRODUCE REPORTS. Messrs. Samwn. Bros., auctioneers, report the following prices at their usual weekly sale on Saturday:— Ducks 2s Bd, cockerels 2s 6d to 2s Bd, hens 2s 9d’, chicks Is Id, pigeons Is, butter Is per lb, eggs Is 3d doz., new potatoes Id per lb, in sacks 8s per ewt., peas 9d peck, apricots 3d per lb., gooseberries 3d per lb., maize IGs per sack, small vegetables as usual.
